We all experience unsureness, discouragement, and feeling overwhelmed or depressed. We all have anxieties. We also each have unique resources, strengths, and coping skills that we may draw on, reconfigure, and enhance. Therapy helps us to use those most effectively. Difficulties arise for us for many reasons, both private and public. Conditions in our communities and our wider world and political climate affect how we interact in our personal and professional relationships. Therapy can help us identify and choose among our alternatives to cope with new--or even with old--problems.
I have come to describe myself as a "blue-collar" therapist. I approach clients with empathy and good humor as a fellow human who is humbled by and respectful of those who choose to share their lives with me.
Since March, 2020 my practice has been fully virtual.
